Amauta Sacred Valley
Amauta offers the unique opportunity to study Spanish in the heart of the Sacred Valley. The school is situated in the attractive village of Yanahuara, just one hour away from Cusco.
Amauta Sacred Valley is an off-shoot of Amauta’s main school in Cusco. As a result, the school only offers a few course options and accommodation is housed within the school building. All courses include a transfer from Cusco and many students choose to spread their Spanish course over the two schools, starting in Cusco, continuing in the Sacred Valley and then visiting Machu Picchu at the very end of their stay. For students who would like to study in both the Cusco and Sacred Valley schools, Amauta offers a special 'travelling classroom' program which includes three weeks of lessons in Cusco and one week in the Sacred Valley. It is also possible to combine courses in all three of Amauta's schools (Cusco, Sacred Valley and Tambopata) - please contact us for more information.
Courses at Amauta Sacred Valley include two excursions/activities per week, which may include a trip to the Maras salt mines, hiking in the hills, a cookery workshop, a tour of the town or a visit to the old Incan town Ollantaytambo.
Please note that in order to run courses at Amauta Sacred Valley, a minimum of six students must be enrolled at the same time. If your course cannot be run for your chosen date, you will be given the option to study at the Cusco school instead.
