Inlingua La Rochelle
Inlingua is one of the largest language learning networks in the world and has developed an original way of teaching, which they have used successfully since 1968. This method is centered on oral communication, enabling students to make quick progress with their language skills. For example, role playing is used to ensure that students are comfortable with everyday language and common situations. In Inlingua's experience, these methods make achieving fluency a much quicker process.
Inlingua's La Rochelle school was built in 2000 and has classrooms of various different sizes to adapt to the needs of the group and so they can also be used for private courses and workshops. The large terrace is furnished with attractive wooden furniture, making it the perfect space to relax after class and meet other students. Our partner school is only a five minute walk from the harbor, where there are various restaurants and cafes as well as a beautiful beach where students can go swimming during breaks or after class. Due to its close location to the city's university, Inlingua La Rochelle is well connected transport-wise, so you can easily get to the city centre to visit the nice bars, go shopping, listen to the street musicians or explore one of the arts and crafts markets.
For adults over the age of 30, Inlingua La Rochelle offers special small group courses. The smaller class size ensures all students are able to actively participate and therefore make good progress. The staff at Inlingua organize at least two cultural activities per week, which may include visiting local craftsmen and workshops, attending music festivals, going to museums or finding out more about French chansons. The Inlingua team are also happy to help you to plan your own leisure program and can organize weekend activities when requested. From La Rochelle you can easily visit the cities of Paris or Bordeaux by train at the weekend.
All Inlingua teachers have a university degree and between three and twelve years of experience teaching French as a foreign language.
