Founded in 1982, EC Brighton offers a young, lively atmosphere and modern facilities in the centre of the trendy city of Brighton, just two minutes walk from the beach. The school is part of the EC group of language schools whom have English schools all over the UK, US, Canada and other English-speaking destinations. EC has won a number of awards for the quality of its language lessons and offers a wide range of courses including business English, exam preparation and long-term study options.
EC Brighton is a modern school with a colorful and stylish interior. It is just a short walk away from the Royal Pavilion and Brighton Pier, two of the city’s most iconic sights. There is air conditioning throughout and plenty of comfortable spaces for students to relax after class.
The school offers a variety of free workshops to complement your English course, including a lecture series, pronunciation clinic, conversation classes and a careers service. To get to know the city and meet other students, the school also organizes various extra-curricular activities. These may include walking tours, trips into the countryside, pub nights and parties.
All the teachers at EC Brighton have a university degree and CELTA diploma (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults). As teaching methods are the same across all EC schools, students have the option to spread their course over more than one EC destination. After your stay in Brighton, why not continue your course in another EC school in England, such as in London or Cambridge, or even travel further afield to keep learning at one of the EC schools in the US, Canada or Malta?

The lessons are very dynamic, as are the teachers. I’ve got to know various different places and I really like it here.

I’m now back in Switzerland. Strangely, the weather in England was much better.
The school was well organized. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The teaching quality was heavily dependent on the teacher. Of the six teachers, three were very good. Their classes were demanding and kept up a good pace. The other three teachers were average. The lessons were too slow. I found it a shame that all the lessons were based on the same didactic pattern. Over time, it got boring.
The host family was perfect. They took a lot of trouble. The house had a garden with a big outdoor seating area. My room had everything I needed and the food was good.
I would especially recommend this school to 18-25 year olds, because there are a lot of very young students in this language school. At 38 years old, I was almost a grandfather. Nevertheless, I enjoyed going to the school.
Thank you again for your wonderful support.

Dear Yalea team,
It was great. My time in England helped me a lot. The school is very good and the teachers are very friendly. My class contained 10 students and they all came from different countries. We spoke English all day.
The host family welcomed me with open arms. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, I did not spend much time with my host family because I made new friends quickly and spent most of my time with them. If I went again, I could imagine staying in a student residence or apartment.
For the transfer, everything worked perfectly and was just as you said: I got back without any problems. The train connection from Brighton to the airport was very good. I would definitely recommend it.
Best wishes and thank you for your help,
