SACE Whitsunday Islands

(15 ratings)

Lying on the coast right next to the Great Barrier Reef, SACE Whitsundays offers students a unique opportunity to study English in a tropical paradise. The school is located in Cannonvale in mainland Australia, just 10 minutes away from the beautiful Airlie beach and its famous beach lagoon. Across the water from the nearby Shute Harbour are the 74 Whitsundays islands that can be easily visited by boat.

SACE is strongly committed to its students’ welfare and prides itself on offering a personalized service. Lessons are taught in small groups to ensure students each get personal attention and the school has a friendly, family-like environment. The schools’ staff are always glad to offer advice on anything students may need from travel plans to medical assistance, and from banking to studying at Australian universities. The school also offers its students an activity program to help them get to know the region and make new friends. This includes weekend trips to the Whitsunday Islands, nearby national parks and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as sports and a move night during the week.

In addition to its standard and exam preparation courses, SACE enables students to combine their English studies with diving or sailing lessons so that they can really take advantage of the Whitsundays’ calm waters and incredible coral reefs. For those who would like to visit various destinations in Australia during their trip, SACE enables students to spread their English course over two or three destinations. Why not consider continuing your studies in Melbourne, Adelaide or Hobart after your stay in the Whitsundays region?

As a region that is extremely popular with tourists, this is a great place to gain some English work experience during or after your studies. There are various local opportunities available in cafes, hotels and with tour companies, depending on your visa type. The staff at SACE can offer you free advice for your job search. The school also offers special courses combining studying with volunteer work or an internship for students who are looking for a structured work experience program.
