EC Young Learners St Julians
A language course set amongst the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean offers junior English learners an opportunity for an entertaining and educational experience.
Located to the south of the island of Sicily and to the North of Africa, the Maltese archipelago has magnificent beaches, impressive rocky bays and a climate which makes it an attractive place to visit all year long. Malta is a great destination for young learners with a taste for the outdoors and an interest in culture and history, here where the unique mix of African, European and Middle Eastern cultures can be seen throughout the island.
Although Maltese is spoken here, English is still the official language and is spoken and understood by all. In such an international environment, surrounded by a group of students from different parts of the world, students will make rapid progress in their language skills. They will be learning in and outside of the classroom, visiting highlights of the island with a diverse group of peers and a varied leisure program.
The program at EC Young Learners is ideal for young English students. With a beautiful climate, a relatively low cost of living yet excellent infrastructure, Malta is the ideal destination for a language journey abroad.
Students will enjoy a diverse program during their studies, with a mix of English lessons and a program of diverse activities. During lessons, students focus on oral and written comprehension. Teachers consider the needs of the individual students to help them break down their inhibitions. By practicing oral skills and emphasizing the management of everyday situations, the students can quickly build confidence and skill in their English language ability.
Activities planned by the school include half day and full day excursions and a program of afternoon and evening activities, to keep students entertained and immersed in their English learning outside of the classroom. Activities which students can participate in may include sporting activities, cooking, craft, karaoke, beach barbecues, treasure hunts, themed classes, visits to a water park, beach and harbor excursions and excursions further afield to Gozo, the island of Sicily or around Malta itself.
Teachers at EC are employed not just on the basis of their qualifications, but for their skill and experience in teaching young learners. At EC, the goal is to achieve a balance between fun and education to ensure that students can maximize their learning outcomes.

My son enjoyed his stay in Malta very much and in the end he would have liked to have gone for two weeks instead of just one. Hopefully next year he can go again and for a longer time.
Thank you and kind regards,
